Throwing an Acquaintance Party for Apartment Complex Neighbours
Moving into a new apartment complex can get quite lonely. Especially if you are living alone and you do not have any friends in the area. But you can change all that with a simple solution - organise a casual acquaintance party and invite all your apartment complex neighbours! You can even ask your landlord to join in on the fun. You do not have to invite everyone in the complex, especially if it is a huge building with a large number of tenants. You can make it exclusive for those living on your floor.
If your apartment is too small to accommodate the number of guests, your building surely has a large common room for group activities. You can reserve the place a week in advance and hold the party there. If you do plan on holding the gathering in the building's common room, it would be best to invite everyone in the complex to attend. That way, no one feels purposely left out and you will not have to walk in the other direction when you see certain tenants at the lobby.
You could suggest a potluck party, or if you are feeling generous, cook all the meals or pay for a caterer yourself. Think of games or activities that will help everyone relax and enjoy each other's company. A little music and some dancing never hurt anybody. After the party, you will surely have made some new friends that you can chat with in the elevator every morning!
